When you are in beijing, might as well witness a show that has made China popular. The Beijing Acrobatic show is something not to be missed!
Top acrobatic artists from all over the country are invited to perform to tourists. Upon arrival at the theatre, you will be taken to your seat with the assistance of the theatre staff who have your pre-reserved entrance tickets. The programme features trick cycling, leaping through hoops and Chinese magic tricks. You can also enjoy gravity-defying contortionism, juggling, unicycling, chair-stacking, and plate-spinning acts and more. In fact, some of the artists have won prizes in international competitions. The show usually starts at 7:15PM and ends at 9:20PM. (sorry for the pictures from my camera... low batt! grrr... ) LOCATION: 36, Dongsanhuan Beilu, Chaoyang District CONTACT NUMBER: 6507-2421, 6507-1818 |

The silk factory wasn’t particularly interesting and yet another one of those unnecessary tour stops guides tend to make so they can attempt to make a quick buck on the side by flogging ‘quality’ products.
We then went to the Summer Palace… UIBE Tour Day 2 |

That evening I joined a group to see one of the famous Acrobatics shows in Beijing . The Chinese acrobats troupe was simply outstanding, providing the audience with a breathtaking spectacle of joint-popping contortionists, jugglers, and gravity-defying balancing acts. A most enjoyable evening.

… I finally caught a taxi (a official one), with the help of the two locals above, and was able to meet up with the rest of the group at an acrobatic show. This show was wonderful and I believe everyone will agree. It involved all the things you think of Chinese and acrobatics, plus they were great at covering themselves when they made a mistake, which was not often.

We had some lovely spring rolls and dumplings cooked by the Trainees
before we had a little show performed by them (someone in the group was dressed
up as the Emperor and they danced around him). After that one of the other
trainees gave us a calligraphy lesson and then we played out side for while with
some of them and then took the bus back to the hotel. We took the subway then

…(2007)
I also have a dream
To prove myself in an Olympic game
Although I am not perfect
My dream will raise me up
And show the world my tender heart
I will exhaust my every single effort
To bring the Olympic spirit to a new height!
My dream will never ever die
My heart will never ever sigh
My dream will never ever die
My heart will never ever sigh!
