So I was bored at my job and cold and wanted a change. I applied for a work visa through Bunac and was on my way to OZ a few weeks later. It was the best time i've had travelling alone. I visited lots of friends and snapped many photos.

Perhaps the one place I was most looking forward to visiting was the Australia Zoo. I will admit up front that I was never the biggest fan of Steve Irwin. Australia Zoo is the zoo that he helped grow and change into a conservation park. I had a great time.We left the hotel at 0830 and got to the zoo about 1000. This animal park was founded by Steve Irwin's parents in 1970. Steve Irwin is known from his dare-devil approach to dangerous animals which he demonstrates in the famous tv programme "The Crocodile Hunter". (Not anymore though, he has been killed by a stingray on September 4th, 2006.)

Here are some pics from my visit to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland to see my parents. They're from Noosa, Mooloolaba, Coolum and Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo in Beerwah... all fantastic coastal destinations I can recommend.
