Beer Palace Oslo Reviews
Great place for beer lovers Jan 11, 2011
The Beer Palace opened in 1993 and is located at the harbour, in Aker Brygge's oldest building, in the Aker mechanical workshops former payroll office. Their speciallity is, as the name indcicates, beer and they have a selection of over 100 different once.
The atmosphere is nice, warm and cosy and you can enjoy both botteled and draft beer from Australia, Belgium, Czech Republic, China, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, UK and USA in nice Chesterfield sofas, at the bar or in 2 outdoor areas. This is the place for you Christian! If you are not a beer lover you can also get wine and cider.
The beer Palace has a pool table, you can play darts or backgammon, and every Sunday at 7 pm there is quiz night. You can also watch football on one of their big screens.
Prices are avarage for Norwegian beer, but higher for imported beer. For most of you the prices will porbably seems expencive, but unfortunately so is alcohol in this country. The Beer Palace do not offer food, but they have an agreement with the Pizza Place next door (Peppes Pizza). You can order pizza there and then eat it at the Beer Palace.
If you have a special interest in beer, they offer beer courses. I have been at the Beer Palace twice and will deffinitely go again. It´s a great place to spend time with friends. They are open every day from 1 pm.
