Affordable quality space near the U.N. Apr 04, 2008
The Beekman Towers Hotel is in the heart of the Beekman Place neighborhood - an enclave of a few blocks of multi-million dollar brownstones just north of the UN. At the corner of 49th and First Avenue, this is a very convenient base to explore Manhattan from and to go for walk around mid town from. Under new management, the current owners recently bought it from the Affinia Group, and they are trying to make their own mark. The rooms are reasonably priced for NYC (approx $250 per night for a studio), and spaciously comfortable. All rooms have kitchenettes, and the reasonably priced one and two bedroom units are grest for families or friends. Well worth considering for a nice NYC experience.
