I nice place to stay wthil in New York May 22, 2008
The Beacon Hotel in New York is a great hotel to stay at while in Manhattan. It is located on the corner of 75th and Broadway, next door to the Beacon Theatre and a short walk to the 72nd st subway station. The room is really nice. It includes 2 double beds, a small bathroom as well as a kitchenette if you choose to eat in. Though I doubt you will be staying in with the many restaurants on the island!! Also on the opposite side of Broadway is a huge grocery store/deli with anything in there you can find!! So when it comes down to it, the Beacon Hotel is located in a great spot, the Upper West Side, which is a little quieter to the hustle and bustle of Midtown, and it is only a couple of blocks from Central Park!!
It can be expensive to stay there at around A$100 per person a night (I cannot be sure of the exact price as I booked through contiki), but it is worth it I think, especially if you want to be comfortable during your stay. The staff are friendly also. |

This was a really nice place to stay. I loved it here. It was located at 2130 Broadway at 75th Street.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. The subway was only a short walk. Rooms were really nice and cleaned well. |

It was getting late and we had to get back to the hotel, so we caught the subway back to the hotel Beacon, had a shower and got ready as tonight we were finally going to the Empire State Building! First we went and had some dinner at a Pizza Place close to our hotel, and it was SO good!! The best pizza… Contiki Day 3 - Our last full day in New York :( |

For the next 3 nights we would be staying at the Hotel Beacon. We had organised a 4 day contiki tour for New York as both of us had never been to the city before and thought it was best to have some help navigating this huge city. Plus everything was organised… Contiki Big Apple Explorer Day 1 |
