A beautiful place with a sad story! Mar 20, 2014
This beautiful area is located in Eastbourne, which in itself is a beautiful large town. A great place to go for a holiday with quite a few tourist spots to explore.

Its beach & the white cliffs were my highlights of the town (but then sadly I didn't get a chance to see much else). The walk along the beach where the harbour is located was brilliant. It was relaxing.

The sunset at the white cliffs was so beautiful. You could go down the Birling Gap to be closer to the sea and see the chalky white cliffs up-close. Sometimes there are people in the ocean in diving suits trying to surf the waves, but they might also be life saving crews or something because Beachyhead is also famous for being a big suicide spot in the UK.

Because of that, sometimes as you walk along the cliffs or down the Birling Gap, you see small memorial markings of flowers, stones or names in areas where people jumped and fell off from the cliffs. Sometimes there are also police or ambulance services with search dogs in-case of any accidents etc.

Other than this sad part of it, the place itself is beautiful and I would recommend it when visiting the UK. :)
Part of the harbour.
A far away view of the harbour.
A small theme park mostly for kids…
A seagle enjoying the sun.

Beautiful scenery Jul 24, 2011
Beachy head is located in eastboune, if your on the seafront you can see clearly the cliffs, is has a reputation on being a suicide hotspot which has made it famous for the wrong reason, while you wald of the down you will see the whole town, which looks amazing at night, the lighthouse can be seen from te cliffs but don't get to close, there is also a nice little pub on the top where can get a drink or bite to eat, a must to see if your in the area
