Beachside Holiday Park Paihia Reviews
Gateway to the Bay of Islands Feb 08, 2011
Beachside Holiday Park is a homey, high standard campsite near the town of Paihia, located in the Bay of Islands. So to speak, an excellent site to stay on either a holiday in this wonderful region or when passing through.
I immediately liked the overall package of comprehensive facilities, friendly atmosphere and truly convincing rates.
As guest you can choose from a range of different accommodations such as tourist flats, cosy cabins and tent/motorhome sites.
There's a shared camp kitchen equipped with fridge and freezer, oven, microwave and toaster. You have to bring your own cooking utensils, though. A neat feature, I liked to see, is the camp's small herb garden from where guests can pick fresh herbs for their dishes. The outside sitting area with barbecues is spacious and roofed, so you can sit there even on rainy days.
The bathroom facilities are nice and clean, too. You can even find a hairdryer there.
One of the best features, especially coming in handy for busy long-term travellers, is WiFi available for free. Just bring your own notebook, netbook etc. and log in on the Internet.
Besides there is a laundry (coin-operated washing machines and dryers), a small camp shop, and a playground on-site.
In case you don't bring your own bedding/sleeping bag you can easily hire these things.
Beachside Holiday Park is a family-friendly, affordable and warm holiday park to spend at least one night at. Its modern facilities and provided service in combination with a nice location ensure a pleasant stay in the Bay of Islands.
