Beaches in Budva Aug 29, 2017
There are several beaches in Budva. During the summer they are all overcrowded. Showers at the beaches are working properly and are free to use. The beaches are mostly sandy, black like in the rest of the Montenegrin coast.

The longest beach is the Slovenska plaza, which parts are devided on those with rented beach sets and those without them, i.e. free for everybody. Along the beach promenade there are many bars, nice restaurants, fastfood, shops, boutiques, pools, tennis courts, sports grounds, parks.

Behind the Old Town is the Old Town Beach as a part of the resort Ricardova Glava. From here is a majestic view on the Old Town, but the water is not so. It is, after all, located in the town, so do not expect the best quality. Here you must pay 25 euro for a beach set, otherwise you cannot use it.

The Mogren Beach is just behind the previous with the better position and accessible by a concrete path, made along the edge of a rock. It is a natural sandy beach with a beach bar, diving club and other service facilities. The beach is the holder of the prestigious award "Blue Flag" which is a symbol of safety and cleanliness. Sand is in the water and on the land. Although Mogren has the status of a hotel beach, it is allowed for others to use it with a payed ticket.

The Hawaii Beach is located on the St. Nicholas Island and is regularly reached by an excursion boat of two companies for 3-4 euro. I did not have time to get there, but from the distance it looked attractive, the best after my opinion.

Great information here. I'm surprised to see the beaches are quite narrow and, as you said, overcrowded but still being by the sea is so lovely!
