Beach 67 Part 2, unofficially clothing-optional Jun 29, 2011
DIRECTIONS: Located between the Hāpuna State Beach and Puakō. From Kawaihae, follow Queen Ka'ahumanu Highway [19] south towards Kona. Just past Mile 69, turn right towards the state beach. The road elbows left; pass the entrance to the state beach and continue a half-mile to a dirt road on the right near the top of the hill (look for telephone poll No. 67) and pull down that gravel road. (Note: The telephone pole is kind of tucked away from the road toward the beach.) The parking area is just past the beachfront home -- do not block their driveway or pass through their property.

Beach 67 Part 1, unofficially clothing-optional Jun 29, 2011
Beach 67 is about 32 miles north of Kona. It's a small, very pretty white sand beach, back-dropped by kiave trees that offer shade. (Beware: Kiawe drop thorns in the sand that can go through a slipper sole.)

Usually easy entry and calm waters at this reef-protected beach make for a great place to snorkel nude, although waves can be rough. The waters at the beach also receive frequent visits from the endangered Hawaiian Green sea turtle.

The beach normally has around 10 people and is a mix of nude single males and suited and/or nude couples. The beachgoers don't interact much.

No security (don't leave valuables in the car) and no facilities.

NOTE: SEE PART 2 FOR DIRECTIONS.
