This was my first time in this part of the country and I was shocked at how unbelievably beautiful it was. Sitting on a hill, sloping down into Lake Superior, Bayfield looks upon the Apostle Islands. The town has a population of 600, but only 200 during the winter. It is surrounded by raspberry fields. Just like a fairy tale. Everyone is so nice, yet keep to themselves. I didn't want to leave!
