Bayeux Vacation Guide
A city steeped in history. It is the site were the famous Bayeux tapestry is kept. Home to the Normans.
Above all else, it is beside some of the Normandy Beach Landing sites from World War II. Most notable of which is Omaha beach. You can get here by any of the frequent buses that leave the city centre. At the top of the hill is the American grave yard which is spectacular to see, whether you are American or not. Seeing the grave stones really makes the war come seem more real. If that doesnt do it, standing on the beach looking up sure does.
If you can make it during the first week of June you will truly be rewarded.
