For any traveler who wants to catch a glimpse of the deserts, Bawiti is the place to head to. It is the closest entry to the deserts from Cairo and the most convenient one.
Most of the Bedouin people living in this town are involved in the tourism industry and most can direct you to a guide who can take you into the desert for a nice camping experience.
There is an ATM machine near the bus station. It is advisable to book the bus tickets a day in advance as the bus is the only way to head out of the town if you dont have your own vehicle.
