This is a nice bar, seems popular with the after-work crowd, though it may not have helped turning up on Oktoberfest where doubtless a lot of people turned up that might not normally have drunk here.

We were asked to sit on little leather stools grouped around little low tables in the 'drinking area', whereas the long German-style tables were reserved for people eating.

The drinks were pretty cheap. We girls were drinking miniature bottles of cheap champagne for 2 dollars, though this may have just been a promotion only for a few weeks as we observed the place should otherwise have been over-run by students. The menu made the beers seem pretty expensive, 500ml being about 8 dollars but 1 litre being about 18 dollars and often mixed with something like coke or mango juice (!), which sounded intriguing but when you're ordering 1 litre of it you really wanna be sure you're gonna like it... However they did have 3 beers available for 5 dollar tankards which is pretty cheap considering, and they were nice beers. I only know 2; Lowenstau (I think) and Spaten.

They obviously have a German menu. We just had some quite tame bar snacks; potato wedges and schnitzel. These were hot as hell but pretty tasty.

Anyway, great little place to get drunk in. Anywhere that sells so many different types of beer is usually!
