'ABOVE CLOUD STATE' In Batutumonga Nov 12, 2011
Batutumonga is the name of a village on the slopes of Mount Sesean, approximately 22 km from the town of Rantepao, I went there by public transport to Batutumonga around an Hour and 30 minutes because the roads are winding with beautiful views.

Batutumonga offers superb views to the sensation of being in the "Land above the clouds". Most tourists to Tana Toraja just stop by here to look Rantepao from a height. If you want to stay here, don’t worry because many guesthouse or hotel are around here, one of them Hotel Mentirotiku and Restaurant where I took Lunch and from their Garden Yard you can see the beautiful scenery unfold. Totally natural painting served in sight.

If you walk of up to 2 km you will find LOKOMATA a large rock in the form of a hollowed-sized coffin for funeral burials to be placed. The holes are given a front lids like a closet with typical Toraja carvings.
