'The high rock formations' Aug 14, 2010
Batu Berlayar Island (Sailing Rock Island) is one package that must be visited. Is located in the western Belitung Island archipelagos. The distance is also close to Tanjong Kelayang and Tanjong Tinggi, about 20 minutes by motor boat. Its name is said to originate from the high rock formations that resemble the sails of a boat. On this island the majority of habitat is the granite rock, the sand is just a little because of these granite rocks which form like as cliffs.

Along the sea shore you will encounter many Starfish, do not worry about stepping on them when you got off the ship, because the structure of the beach sand is like fine powder, so the starfish will also disappear as deep into the sand when we tread. Not only are there starfish, unique coral animals wander around also many black sea urchins. The island is also uninhabited.

There is a unique part of the island where also a granite stone on the beach is partially covered the water where the upper part is shaped like a shark's fin or similar also with shark's teeth. The white sand on the island will only be visible when the tide is low, meaning that the boat will be anchored only at low tide.

The small island is one of the unique attractions favored by tourists in the Belitung add this to your island tour hoping in Belitung it takes approximately 15 minutes from the port of Tanjung Kelayang.
