Basta Cosi Ixelles Reviews
Basta Cosi Nov 08, 2009
This was actually the place where the restaurant Fellini had its location but this place has been undergoing a lot of renovation and revamping and it is now back in new shape and with a new name; Basta Cosi and it has come back as a restaurant and a wine bar.
We entered around 8.30pm on a Sunday evening and the restaurant was almost full; we were lucky and were able to get a good table just next to the window and we therefore could have a nice view towards the square and also over the changes they had made inside the restaurant.
The restaurant has now a contemporary Italian look and for me the most outstanding was the glass chandeliers hanging down from the ceiling. They were made in white and purple and were rather kinky and kitchy.
We ordered from our waiter, Emi, who was new in the job; it was his first week he told us, but nevertheless he made a very good impression and he was very observant. When we asked about the wine, he didn’t give us a song and dance act, but consulted one of the other waiters and we ended up with a great Langhe Chardonnay at a fair price which was 29 €.
The main courses we had were really great; we both had fish and I had a Tagliata di Tonno at 23.50 € and Babs had a Pescespada griglia at 23.50 € which both were just like they should be.
The place had turned into something better. They have a fabulous location and I hope they can use it well.
