Great relics Oct 08, 2010
Located in the magnificent area of Prato della Valle, the Basilica di Santa Giustina has been in Padua since the fifteenth century. It served as one of the city’s chief monasteries until the arrival of Napoleon in the nineteenth century, after which it became suppressed.

There are various tombs located within the basilica of various saints and some relics are showcased too. The chapels are beautifully and consistently well-decorated. Considering the history and artwork, it’s a pity that this basilica isn’t more visited by tourists or worshippers alike.

Entrance is free and photography is permitted. This basilica is worth the visit and considering it is in the heart of the tourist hotspots, you will not miss this place.
