The Swiss Museum for Paper, Writing and Printing Mar 29, 2011
I'm normally not into museums, cause mostly they are boring for me. This one is different! The museums shows the history of paper and their writing and printing in Basel/Switzerland aswell as in whole Europe. Basel was one of the most important places (and one of the first) in Europe concerning "papermaking". The history started back in 1453!

Besides the theoretical history, you can also work in museum. There are people who still work as in the year one. This is extremely interesting and you feel you are travelling back in time.

The museum offers guided tours, courses in printing and decorated paper manufacturing.

Finally there is also a cozy coffe adjacent to the museum and a shope in which they sell their own produced (decorated) paper, writing stuff and other souvenirs.
