This accomodation is in an old post office. We chose a private room. The room had a bunk bed, double at the bottom, single at the top. The room was very small, just enough room to walk along the side and end of the bed. There was no where to put anything. We had our cases on the floor at the end of the bed. There was a television up on the wall. We had a very small ensuite. To enter the ensuite you must be on the right side of the door as it would hit the bed when it was opened. The worst thing was the bed, it was so uncomfortable! We didn't use the share kitchen or the share sitting/tv area. The ground floor had heaps of computers and a breakfast dining area. It was a continental breakfast for $5, not too bad. They also had a tour desk. There was limited, unsecure, pay parking on site. The lift was scary!
It wasn't what we liked but can see that for the young ones it is a good way to go but really, it wouldn't have cost us much more for a hotel room. However, we had the experience. The location wasn't too bad. We did walk to the museum and the main shopping precinct. Part of the New Zealand 2007 travel blog |
