When it isn't raining Barton Springs is the place to escape the Texas heat. It only costs about 2 dollars I believe to get in. The spring water is cold all year round and its great for cooling off. Bring plenty of sun block, water, sunglasses and a towel and you should be set to go.

One of our first stops was Barton Springs pool, a dippin' spot for decades. Out front is this neat statue of 3 local writers and buddies who would hang out there way back when and philosophize and such, representing Austin's freethinkin ways. The pool itself is huge, flowing out of a natural… Back to Austin!

most eclectic RV park at Pecan Grove on Barton Springs Road. So far I have met a local paper's music critique, a musician/artist who has played with Wylie Nelson and Lyle Lovett, a man who is an attorney for the state prosectuting natural resource violations...and a woman who lost a daughter… Thanks given to the all mighty!
