We finally got started - our usual: 2 hours late. I had hoped to leave by 6 AM, but neither Jag nor I had more than about 2 hours of sleep last night. We were moving in very slow motion. Add to that a case of nerves, or was it my old agoraphobia, and I was a wreck. All bette…

Tire blows miles from nowhere; approached building that seemed vacant but wasn't. Got refreshed, called AAA, back to Barstow for the night! Off to Vegas in the am after getting new tires.

I flew from Washington DC to Longbeach CA then my immediate family and I piled into a minivan for a superfast attempt at crossing the US. I took pictures, most of which are from the back seat of the tinted window minivan, but some of which are through the windshield and a few are actually from times we stopped. Enjoy.
