I attended school in Granada in 2004. It was a blast. There are tons of pubs, bars and clubs to hit up during the week. The majority of the good ones are close to Plaza de Isable la Catolica and Plaza Nueva. The best part about Granada, Spain is that tapas are still free and come with you drink- if you are at a tapas bar.

A few good places:

Tapas: La Tortuga, Bodega Castaneda.

Bars: Zen, a great Irish pub off of Plaza Nueva, and la Chupeteria (it serves only shots and Heineken). La Chuperteria is more downtown from the Plaza Nueva area.

Clubs: Granada 10. Camborio. Camborio is the best in Granada. It is in the Sacramonte area. So you will need to cab up from Plaza Nueva and then walk back at 6am with the rest of the town. Cabmorio mixes a club and bar atmospheres. Plenty of different areas to get your grind on, but also some great places to take in the scenery. The back patio opens up and you look over all of the city and the Alahambra. Unreal.

Random: Grab a couple bottles of wine, liquor, etc and head up to a park overlooking the city. Or at some of the major supermarkets people get together to play the drums and dance all night long!

Granada is a blast. On your way back to your hostel, hotel, home or heck even work/school make sure to grab a Schwarma (Kebab).

The nightlife in Granada is cheap, fun, but rather quiet. You can meet all kinds of people from students to the average Spaniard enjoying their city. If you would like to go to the bars then there is a ton of bars which to go to. Every bar has their own speciality tapas that come with each drink that you order. Instead of going out to eat you go on a bar crawl and eat while you drink. Whoever invented this custom was the smartest man to combine two of the best things in life, drinking and food. You have to try several bars to find the ones that you like ,but my favorite was Siete Pecados which serves a slice of pizza with each drink that you order and the pizza is really good and cheap. My advice is to just try every bar that you can, and remember to drink the Sangria from Granada because it is especially good there. Now if you want to really party and go clubbing then the place to begin is Granjero. It is in Plaza Isabella Catolica. It is a small but fun club with a relatively unknown underground section that must be visited by everyone. Probably the most famous club in Granada is Granada 10. This is the place to go on a weekend if you are looking for alot of people and a good time, but be ready to pay up for you drinks because it is expensive there. Just down the street there is Tantra and a bar called Dolce Vita. Both are relatively small but decent places to relax and have a good time. One thing about Granada is that the people there are so friendly and things are so open there. Bars hire people to stand on the streets and hand out cards for free or discounted drinks. It doesn't hurt to talk to them and go in and try their bar. You at least get a cheap drink and maybe find somewhere that you like. This is especially true on Calle Pedro Antonio where there are tons of little bars and clubs. Granada is a small but great town to go around on the town, and remember to be open, friendly, and be willing to party.
