Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve Green Bay Reviews
Excellent hiking trail through a waterfowl preserve. Sep 10, 2008
This hiking trails is an excellent resource for those living within driving distance.
Mostly flat with wide, unobstructed, mulched trails, this is a peaceful place to enjoy a day outside. Trails are maintained well, are dry even after a rain, and are quiet and lovely.
Depending on the time of year, one can see birds migrate, beavers build dams, white tailed deer run through, or red fox scamper through the forest.
Well shaded in summer, sunlit and cheerful in the winter. This facility also rents out snowshoes for winter enjoyment.
Trails are well marked, and fork out into 3 different routes, with the longest trail being about 8 miles round trip.
Free and open to the public (except for snowshoeing), no dogs allowed.
No bathroom or water facilities except at the entrance.
