Summary of my travels since starting to travel for work in 2004. Three continents and three jobs later, this blog is an ongoing work in process. My trip to Barcelona May 2007

Traveling for the first time alone was an amazing journey and to have Barcelona be one of those cities was amazing!

I was in Barcelona for a technical conference, but I took some extra days off to explore this wonderful city.

In the fall of 2004 I needed a change - there was only one answer: a roadtrip alone. I always wanted to see Alhambra and I just had to go for it. I ended up with 8600 km in just 2 weeks - and it was great.

This summer's adventure took my buddy and I through Spain, Germany, Portugal,Austria, Germany and Switzerland! Fantastic time..minus gettin wallet stolen in Barcelona..great time though:)

Living in Europe, travelling in Europe, discovering the multi-cultures in Europe!! :)

I love Barcelona..love the architecture esp the brilliance of Gaudi, the food, the cheaper shopping choices and the romantic atmosphere...it's like Paris, only cheaper and less glam :)

So Spain has always been a dream destination for me. I found myself with a three day weekend after Thanksgiving, a great travel deal with AirGorilla.com, a few extra $$s in the old bank account and just couldn't say no. So off I went...

My first trip outside of the USA (for 3 weeks!) ~ we got to see England, Scotland, France, and Spain. Oh, and saw a few TBs along the way, also.

I spent two weeks in Barcelona, studying Spanish and enjoying this great city. It is simply amazing!

In de midsummer of 2007 I went to the most beautiful and amusing city I've seen till now. I couldn't believe how nice all the arthouses, parcs, streets...almost everything was. I did the city in one week but that was by far not enough time. I truly want to go back there.

Finally the main reason of our stay in Pineda de mar was reached - Barcelona. We woke up quite early like for summer days but about 12 o'clock we were at the railway station. The ticket to station Franca in Barcelona costed 3,10 eur for a person so it was quite cheap. The jurney took 1 hour in…
