 The old city walls Jul 22, 2008
The old city walls and barbakan gate used to defend the old Warsaw from enemies. It took two centuries to finish these walls, towers and gates. The oldest one, Barbakane, is still standing and was build around 1550. Inside there is a chapel. The bridge at barbakane unites the old and new part of Warsaw and is a favorite place for young people to hang out.

Barbakan gate , the Kasimir church and the The monument over the heroes of the Warsaw Uprising . After that, we were basically to tired to do anything else than prepare for dinner. We weren't as lucky as yesterday though, the restaurant we picked was absolute… The glamour of the Old Town |
