I put my 2008 Barbados trip photos in with the ones from 2005 just to see the difference 3 years makes to me physically and my outlook on life and views, and also how Barbados has changed, if at all.

After one full week in Barbados, I have mixed feelings.  To stay and become engrained or to run...it is a tough call right at the moment.   If I was here on a 2 week holiday without work...this would not be a dilemna.  It is for me because this could really become a home-away-fr…

THIS CROP OVER WAS OFF THE CHAIN..CROP OVER IS THE CELEBRATION OF THE SLAVES WHEN THE HARVEST CAME FOR THE CROPS/SUGAR CANE ETC....THE BAJAN'S(PEOPLE FROM BARBADOS/LOCALS USED THIS NAME WITH EACH OTHER)IN OTHER ISLANDS IT IS KNOWN AS CARNIVAL... I RECOMMEND EVERYONE SHOULD EXPERIENCE A CARNIVAL/CROP OVER.

What a lovely country. People are amazing and the beaches are even better. I have never felt so safe in my life, even at 3am. Would definetly go back one day, just to many other place to visit for now.

In March 2006 we took a Southern Caribbean Cruise with Carnival on the Destiny. We left from San Juan, Puerto Rico and travelled to St. Thomas, Dominica, Barbados, and Aruba.

An entire day on the sea on the harbour master cruise ship. climax had to be swimming with 3 green back turtles!! We started off at 10 am an sailed on the 3 storey boat around the west coast of the island.. the west coast apparently has all the best beaches and the turtles of course!! the day ended after a fantastic lunch on board and a afternoon swim then back to the docks!

Today we woke up early to explore Barbados a little before our afternoon booze cruise.  My goal was to find a local artist and buy a painting, I took up collecting paintings/artwork of places I visit.  We hopped in a cab and saw a bunch of brightly painted fun shops.  We got dropped …
