Bar Lilienthal Moscow Reviews

Chill Bar on a Quiet Street Oct 17, 2009
Tucked away, on an unusually quiet street, in the center of Moscow is the Bar Lilienthal. Lilienthal is housed in a long but narrow building with a giant polished wood bar that extends nearly front to back and a lofted area where bands and DJ's play. Given the dimensions of the bar there is not a whole lot of seating space but the relaxed nature of the mostly local crowd gives Lilienthal a cozy rather than cramped feel.
The chill crowd is well matched by cool ambiance of the bar's white washed stone walls adorned with a variety of flight paraphernalia befitting a bar with the namesake of aviation pioneer Lilienthal. Lilienthal is a bar's bar...a place for chatting, drinking and sitting, not a great place for dancing as there just isn’t room. It's more a place where you get into the mood for dancing while listening to the guest bands and DJs performing who perform regularly. Though be careful, it’s also the kind of place where you start at with a plan of one drink and find yourself still at in the wee hours of the morning held in place by the good music and the fun eclectic crowd.
