Bar La Plata Travel Reviews

Jun 27, 2007
Boy, oh boy. I stumbled across this tiny place after reading a quick three-line review in the Rough Guide. If you're into some good, cheap, tapas, this is your place. The house specialty seems to be roasted sardines. They're fresh and come out hot in a plate of four. Wash it down with some wine from the cask - there's a blanco, a rosado and a tinto at very good prices as well.

It seems like mostly a locals-only type place. So please, if you do end up there, don't bring a group of sixteen and get all rowdy. And know enough Spanish to order, because English isn't going to get you very far.

Definitely my favorite tapas place in the city.
