'Bar Harbor Whale Watch'

We took this tour and saw plenty of whales, and a few different kinds, to boot! We saw a humpback whale in the distance, and the captain steered the boat to where it went under...we were all looking for it to surface again, then we saw a flash of white under the boat..and it surfaced right next to us! Very amazing to watch. You can sit inside or outside the boat, outside on top or right in front of the ship is the best place. Even in summer, it WILL be cold out at sea, so wear layered clothing. A waterproof Windbreaker or rain jacket would be ideal (sea spray can soak you when you least expect it!) They do give you a free ticket if you don't see any whales, but I understand that is rare. The sea can be choppy, so if you are worried about seasickness, get some Dramamine at any drugstore and take with a large glass of water one hour before you go. Don't miss this wonderful and exciting experience!
