Banyan Tree Park Lahaina Reviews
Banyan Tree Park May 19, 2012
This tree, of Indian origin, was planted in Lahaina in 1873 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first American Protestant mission in Lahaina.
This thing is HUGE. It takes up 2/3 of an acre and has at least 16 trunks. It is one of the largest banyan trees in the United States, and definitely the largest in Hawaii.
It has been vandalized and measures have been taken to protect it. That being said, this is just one really cool tree. If you are in the area, it is worth a look.
