…centre and i already had a nice buzz going and was looking forward to visiting Vertigo Bar, which is located at the top of the Banyan Tree Hotel. The girls took one taxi and the boys another, but even though Dodge had given the driver instructions of where to go, we ended up lost and going around in circles. Feeling cheated and pissed off, we exited the taxi without paying… Seven crazy drunks in Bangkok! |

Postscript - dinner this evening was at a restaurant called Vertigo which is an open air rooftop restuarant at The Banyan Tree hotel. Beautiful views at night of the city of Bangkok and the food and service were exceptional. This was an expensive restaurant, but definitely worth it. I have been to a similar restaurant called Sirocco a couple of times before… Shop Till You Drop... |

We booked a table at Vertigo on top of the Banyan Tree hotel. The restro is rooftop at 61 floors up. It's an amazing place, but unfortunately, it was raining when we arrived and Vertigo was closed. Instead we ate at Pier 59 a couple floors down. Also a really cool place. Pier 59 has a 9 course… Ban Mai Cultural Experience |

The Banyan Tree hotel is in the second highest tower in the city and their restaurant is on the roof. I was picturing an an inside circular bar with air conditioning and a jazz band... certainly nothing wrong with that, just in my experience typical… lots of oil... and good food |

Vertigo - located on the roof of the Banyan Tree hotel, this posh restaurant features outdoor seating with a view of bangkok from 60 stories up. Expensive. There is a bar if you just want to have a drink as well. Boat Tour - we love this little boat trip, it goes… Perparing to leave |
