Bangui Vacation Guide
Bangui is the capital of Central African Republic and the only city other than Boali that is supplied electricity. It boasts the country's only university, a Parliament building and a few other government establishments. P-K-0 is the name for Point Kilometre Zero which is the center of downtown Bangui and (like Cancun) most locations are labeled by how far it is from this point.
There isn't terribly much to do in this city, but there are a handful of good restaurants, a single paved road that leads north, and pygmy villages not too far out. At approximately 26 km away from P-K-0, is the "real" part of town where the locals have a huge marketplace that stretches for about a mile. The safety here is dubious, but you can see vendors selling grilled monkeys to eat here.
