Ok, so being a foodie, I was always going to love Bangkok.  But I wasn't quite prepared for just how much. Everything about it rocked.  From the cheap knockoff markets, to the huge malls, to the boutique stores to the culture and historical sites - what a fabulous place. My main reason for visiting was work, but I managed to get out and about in the evenings and on a couple of afternoons. It was a bit too hot and muggy to go walking…

*This entry is backdated*The train ride back to Bangkok was pretty fun. We met up with a bunch of other Aussies there, and just drank all night. Once we were back in Bangkok, we went to visit the Grand Palace. This time around, they were reconstructing certain parts of it. It didnt bother us too much though, as it still looked great. We also visited The Reclining Buddha, which was really good. That night most of us said our goodbyes, and got our flights back to Australia.

The last 10 days have been a bit of a blur.  SO AWESOME though!  In Koh Phan-Ngan, My-Van and I met a group of really nice, fun Brits travelling around thailand in the same direction as us....Ben, Geoff and Katie, and the twins.  Ben and I ended up spending quite a bit of time together and we all ended up heading off in the same direction and travelling together for the rest of the trip.  Koh Phan Ngang was filled with parties on the beach and movies and more beach.  …

Well, what a day… It's still Sunday, but today feels like it went forever (in a good way!!!) Had to get up real early, cos we had to make the massive trek back to the airport… 20 min drive to the port, 15 min boat rise, then an hour and a half trip in a van cramped in with way too many other people.
