Bangkok Christian Hospital
Bangkok Christian Hospital Reviews
Quick and easy medical assistance in Bangkok Apr 11, 2009
I had forgotten to bring my diabetes medicine with me to Bangkok, so my husband mailed it by UPS Express. Customs would not release it to me without a certificate of medical. I needed to see a doctor in order to get one. The Bangkok Christian Hospital wasn't too far from my hotel, so that's where I went.
When I arrived, an English speaking woman helped me check in. I then had my weight (yuk!) and blood pressure taken and told to wait in the waiting room. I waited about 20 minutes before I saw the doctor (not too bad). The doctor was prepared to write me a prescription for the medicine, but they don't carry the correct dosage in Thailand. She wrote out the certificate of medical for me and then I went to check out at the cashier. It only cost me 600Bht (about $17 U.S.)...really cheap considering how much it would have cost me in the U.S. even with insurance (my copay is $30). Part of the Bangkok travel blog |
