Bangi Vacation Guide
Bangi is located in Hulu Langat district, Selangor. Just 5 minutes from Kajang which is famous for Kajang satay. Bangi can be divided into Bangi lama (old Bangi) or Bandar Baru Bangi/BBB (new Bangi city).
Bangi is also known as a research and education hub in Malaysia. Several college and training centres is located there. The most famous one is the main campus of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) or National University of Malaysia. The research institutes found in Bangi are Malaysia Palm Oil Board(MPOB), Malaysia Genome Institute (MGI) and Malaysia Nuclear Agency (MNA).
To get there, it's convenient to take KTM commuter train. There are two stations: UKM station and Bangi station. There is no bus from KL to Bangi. However, you can take a Rapid KL bus from KL to Kajang and another bus to Bangi or BBB.
