Bandra is the major western suburb of Mumbai. It is a densely populated area of the city bordering the Arabian sea. Bandra has a large shopping area on Hill road and Linking road - with stores, malls, theatres, restaurants and small roadside shops. Near the sea Bandstand is famous - host to a number of Bollywood celebrity homes, and posh hotels. Bandra also has a large number of pubs and clubs, and is a popular destination amoung youth for its nighlife. It is also a major railhead for travelling northwards from Mumbai.
