Banana's Cafe
Banana's Cafe Reviews
Salsa nights in Puerto Rico at Banana's Cafe Feb 05, 2009
Because of the name, you might think that Banana's Cafe is a cafe, but not at all, although you can find food there, haha. This is a club located in Isla Verde - San Juan.
They have 2 floors, the first one has some tables and a bar, but the action takes place in the second floor. There you can find a dance floor, live music, bar, tables and a balcony for the people who would like to smoke or chat since inside it could be a bit difficult. We went there on a Thursday, which is the Salsa day, yay!!! That day they have live music and you'd have to pay a cover fee, which is not expensive. The bartenders are friendly and wouldn't let you be thirsty, haha. The atmosphere of this place is very nice. It has a good vibe. I noticed they also have karaoke, but don't know which day of the week. The stage where the band performs is in a corner and in front of it you have the dance floor, although you can dance whereever you want. At least we did so, hehe. At the balcony you have wi-fi. While the band is taking a break the dj would play some latin music to keep you in the mood for keep on dancing and enjoying the night. Regarding the prices of the drinks they are average to Puerto Rican standards. Part of the 2nd Meet Up was my 1st time in the Caribbean - Puerto Rico, yay!! :) travel blog |
