Banana Island Resort Coron Reviews
A Place to be for Beach lovers and Sun Worshippers. Mar 16, 2011
Since we spent most of our second day in water and Island hopping we ended it by staying in a secluded accommodation at least for a night.
It is a Resort located in an Island called Bulalacao in Coron , Palawan. It can be reached by boat and if you're richer -- by Yacht.
According to our boatman the island is owned by a Palawan local (old woman). She also own the adjacent island " Bulog Dos" that have a connecting sand bar going to the bigger island lateral to it. ( which she actually sold to a hotel chain company famous also in Boracay ).
In the island there's also a covered area ( designated ) with long tables where the guests can eat their food .There's a beach volley court , one kayak boat which you can borrow if you want to use . 2-3 hammocks hanging between coconut trees near the covered area.
I think they have one huge nipa hut ( bahay kubo in Filipino ) that can accommodate 2 groups and 3 small ones good for 2-4 people. A small sari-sari store and karaoke bar.
We arrived there past 6:00pm and it's a bit dark already and stayed at one of the small nipa . It do have two beds , 2 linens, one with mosquito net and one pillow each for the guest. The bath room do have water drum for salt water, which is used for flushing and the other one is fresh water for bathing . There's also 1 emergency light and electric fan ( which is unnecessary to use because the wind at night is too strong - seriously ).
As part of the accommodation we were given body soaps and detergents. We paid 1k each per night, that was literally expensive but it's all worth it.
I definitely would come back and recommend this place, it would never fail your expectation of pristine turquoise water and powder like white sand beaches.
