Banana Beach may be a little ways from the main strip, but it is worth the 5 minute drive by golf cart/taxi. The pool is cool and relaxing with the bar just a short trip to the front of the hotel. There is also an easily accessible dock so that you can hop on your boat for a quick trip to the barrier reef. The hotel will set up any outings for you.
On another trip to San Pedro, I got confused about if the hotel price was in US or BZ dollars, so I wound up paying twice as much for a hotel with no bar, no restaurant, off in the jungle, which was pretty but just attracted more sand flies and mosqutoes. Just book at Banana Beach....large rooms, oceans views....everything you could want at a great price. |
