Delightful! Jun 25, 2014
I always like to stay somewhere with a bit of uniqueness - Ballylagan ticks this box for me. It is a quaint (but modern) B&B on an organic farm in a small town in Antrim, Northern Ireland. It is located about a 25 minute drive further north of Belfast, close to Ballyclare.

The cost is £95 per night for the room, which was perfectly clean and tidy. The bed was wonderfully comfortable also. The sounds of sheep bleating was also very therapeutic :p

The breakfast was extremely diverse - fresh fruit, cereals, hot scones with jam and your choice of cooked breakfast (the salmon and scrambled egg was delicious). This was included in the price.

The lady who runs the place is also very helpful and accommodating.

It is a very good place to explore northern Ireland - from here you can enjoy the quiet of the country while only being a half-hour drive from Belfast, a stones-throw away from the beginning of the Giant's Causeway Coastal Road and about an hour and a half's drive to The Causeway itself and the Carrick-a-Rede Roap Bridge.
The comfortable bed
