Ballorig Meppel Reviews
Indoor kid's playground Dec 26, 2008
This indoor playground is ideal for times when the weather is not suitable for outdoor activities. There are many of these located throughout The Netherlands and Germany, and in Denmark under the name "Jumboland".
When going to Ballorig there is a fee to be paid per child and accompanying adults get in for free. Usually they do not allow bringing your own food and drinks although I have seen people do it often enough and nothing has been said or done about it. Food and drinks can be bought of course.
Ballorig consists of different play areas for children. There are special areas for smaller and larger children so they don't get in each other's way. They can climb, slide, play with big foam building blocks and plastic balls or jump on trampolines and usually this will occupy them for a good few hours. Some have outdoor areas too although the one closest to me in Meppel doesn't.
For the adults there's not much to do (unless you play with your kids) except eat, drink or read the magazines that are available. My advice: bring a book or game to occupy yourself if your kids are at the age where they will play on their own!
