After all the driving, we decided to spend the day not using the car and had a walk into Ballina town - about a mile or so. We had a wander round, got a repair kit for the tent as a pole end had been missing when we set up and enjoyed a (very) long coffee and read of the paper, while people watching out of the corner of our eyes. It wasn't a bad town - had everything you would need although not particularly picturesque. A river runs through it (Moy) but we walked back to and past the campsite...
