Baldi Hot Springs Reviews

Better deal than it seems Feb 29, 2008
Feb '08. I spent most of my time in cheap hostels and moderately priced hotels so Baldi Hot Springs was a nice respite. They just opened up their new onsite hotel which includes rooms with nice firm king sized beds, private bath with hot water, cable tv, ac, private balcony with view of the non-lava flowing side of volcano arenal. The rooms were comparable to any 4 to 5 star hotel in the US. One night lodging cost $230 (with tax) but included admission for 2 to the hot springs for 2 days (it's usually $28/person/day) and breakfast for 2. I'd suggest bringing your own water and maybe food (or at least seasoning) though since a small bottle of water was $4 and dinner entrees were about $30-$40/person for bland (but fresh) food.
