Baldaquin Hotel Paris Reviews
Aug 05, 2006
This is a centrally-located hotel, in the 17ème arrondissement. There are lots of friendly Sri Lankan staff working there, and everyone made us feel very welcome and helpful with any questions that we had about the hotel, where to go, how to get there and the types of tickets to get. Free information was readily given out.
There was a television in the room, so in the quiet moments when we were recovering from the mamoth sight-seeing journeys, it was good to have so background noise, even if we didn't understand the vast majority of what was going on.
The beds were soft and comfortable and afforded a good night's sleep. The en-suite bathroom was clean and had alovely hot shower. It was just a shame the door to our bathroomdidn't close properly or have a lock on it. Good thing that Mum and I get on well and have an understanding about these things!
Due to its position and easy access to public transport (there are bus stops on the main road, and 2 metro stops within a couple of minutes' walk) getting around the city from here was simple.
The price of the hotel was included in the travel package that we booked on-line, but it is possible to book separately.
