Badlands White River Koa Kampground Reviews
AWEFUL Campground with extremely rude staff Aug 06, 2008
HORRIBLE. I would NEVER recommend anyone stay here. We had the worst service, were treated with extreme disrespect and were charged double on our site based on a complaint that was not valid. We were accused of things we didn't do and ended up with a charge on my cc that I now have the pain of disputing. Stay away from this campsite. I would recommend staying in Hill city at the horse thief campground. Nicer site, nicer staff.

This was a very nice KOA located about 6 miles from the visitor center of Badlands National Park, and a good place to start our exploration of the area. There weren't too many tent campers there, and when we saw a site that was bigger & better than the one we had reserved, they had no problem letting us switch. We took a nice corner site which was very spacious, and right near the river. The riverbed was dry, I took a walk in it the next morning and was able to see various wildlife, (deer, rabbits, etc.) very peaceful area. It was very windy that night, they actually had a campfire ban due to the wind, but we didn't realize that until we checked out. Oops! sorry, guys! They also have a pancake breakfast in the morning.
