Backdoor Theatre is Wichita Falls' only non-profit theatre group. It is entirelly run by volunteers. All the actors, stage crew, and directors are volunteers!!!! It's truly amazing to see local talent and boy do they put on a great show, all for the price of a movie ticket. There are 2 stages, one is the main stage and the other is a dinner stage where you can eat dinner before the show. Both have been absolutely wonderful. It's hard to believe that barely anyone in town knows that this theatre even exists.
I've been to 2 performances, the first was a play called "The Littlest Whorehouse in Texas" and the 2nd was a spoof of "A Christmas Carol" where everything went terribley wrong. My girlfriends and I really enjoy having our "girls night out" at the Backdoor Theatre and we can't wait to see what the new year has in store!!!  Part of the Wichita Falls, TX travel blog |
