Bab Marakech (Old Medina)
Bab Marakech (Old Medina) Reviews
Casablanca's History May 20, 2009
In the past, the city was a small town, divided into 2 distinct districts: Médina. is this site that Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdallah chose ressusciter and strengthen at the 18th century. Located on the North-East part of the city, it sheltered administrative buildings (foreign court, customs, consulates...) and town residences (governor's residence, the civils servant ...).
Mellah, located at South-west of the city, was Moroccan Jewish district. currently it's remains a small minority. But today, associations inheritance safeguard worry seriously for Bab Marrakech. |
