Average exhibition, decent architecture Nov 18, 2010
Located in the heart of the medina, Bab Mansour is a very impressive building which serves as the house for occasional exhibitions. It is free to enter and seems to be open from around 9 or 10 in the morning to at least 5 or 6 in the evening (no official times were pinned up, this is just what I saw while I was there).

The façade of the building is very beautiful and ornate. The tiles are intricate and the arches and ornate stonework grab your attention. While I was there, the exhibition related to the current king as well as his immediate family. No information was available as such, only a lot of photos to look through.

During my time there, I probably spent a good 5 or 10 minutes marvelling at the architecture from the outside, and spent only a couple of brief minutes inside to whiz through the photos.

Although Bab Mansour might not warrant a lengthy trip, you are very likely to be within a stone’s throw of this site. Consequently, it’s well worth a quick visit, if only to admire its impressive façade.
