Baan Karon Resort Phuket

Well when I first got there I had to change room three times because of the smells. Otherwise the rooms were light and cosy. If you get a room with a poolview, you got nothing to complain about. But if you get the road under your room, prepare to some noise. Theres a ping pong bar on the other side of the road. its open til six in the morning. baaad music. Dj alligator all night is not very nice.
When you want to go downtown, watch out for the traffic. there is no sidewalk. you have to walk inches away from the trucks and cars and mopeds. I feared my life every day! A tuk tuk from the hotel to the centre cost 200 baht. which is a lot! its just 500 metres away but it is dangerous!
The hotel is not childfriendly. the pool is small and deep. The poolbar is almost never attended. The breakfast buffet was allright. very friendly staff. Very cheap hotel with a cheap restaurant. The food there was great!!
