BMW Museum Reviews
A must for BMW owners Nov 03, 2009
For BMW owners it's most likely a rite of passage. For everyone else, it's an interesting look at the history of one of the world’s leading auto manufactures. It's located across the street from Olympic park and easily accessible by subway.
Important: The comments express are mine and in no way intended to promote any product, service or tour. Also, I’m not here to write full ‘play by play’ reports on my experience simply to provide short first hand personal impression. As with all comments, reviews, recommendations on the internet, in books or magazines, they are SUBJECTIVE! We all have individual likes and dislikes and it is your responsibility to perform your own ‘due diligence’ and make educated choices. The bottom line… we live on an amazing planet and I’ve been fortunate enough to have explored a large piece of it. My only suggestion would be to get out there and enjoy every bit of it whenever you’re able. |

I'm not a huge car fan (as long as it gets me to where I want to go, that's good enough for me), but the BMW Museum is still an interesting diversion if you are looking for some time to kill while in Munich. I was expecting a larger space, but in reality the museum is quite small -- just a small room with a few cars in it. If you get bored, the Olympic Village from the 1972 games is nearby.
Note: I think the original, larger museum is currently being refurbished, a process that is supposed to take ~3 years. This might explain why the museum I visited seemed so small. Part of the Venice, Oktoberfest, and Switzerland travel blog |

Over a walkway there is the recently opened BMW museum. Here there is all the history of BMW from the early days of being an aircraft engine manufacturer, through making motorbikes and then onto car production. There are some fantastic old vehicles on show here in immaculate condition and the whole museum… Tall buildings, fast cars and German nudists |

Accross the same site, the BMW Museum is located. Yes, I went in, I`m a sucker for gorgeous cars I can´t afford. Did you know that most of the Nazi cars and bikes that were used during WWII, was manufactured by BMW? If I became… munich - get to know |

We went inside the BMW museum, it was small and only a dozen cars were there but still nice.
After that we went back to Marienplatz to feed ourselves with something. I was so jealous of Phydie's food since it was good and I hated mine. And then… some jolly oktoberfest! |

No events were being held at Olympiastadion this evening, so I just walked around and eventually ended up at the BMW museum which isn't too far away.
I couldn't find any place to eat except for a Pizza Hut. I made do with that. … Munich day 2 - Olympiapark |

with a BMW museum, which really tickled my fancy. Coincidentally, at the park, they were having a ceremony for a couple VFPs. Wow, I can't wait to start my volunteer experience! Olympic park was really cool. I've never been to an Olympic anything before, so it was cool… World Cup Fever! |
